The Group’s full K–12 development plan includes the opening of Wellington College Independent School Jakarta (Early Years and Junior School) in BSD City, Greater Jakarta, in August 2026, followed by the Senior School in Phase 3 of the BSD development, scheduled for 2030. In 2028, Wellington College Education Singapore Group (WCESG) plans to establish a new Wellington College International school, focusing initially on the primary years, with the location to be confirmed in either Singapore or Malaysia, reflecting WCESG’s commitment to expanding world-class Wellington education across Southeast Asia.
Wellington College International Johor, scheduled to open in 2032, is being developed as the flagship school for WCESG and a pre-eminent international school within the global Wellington College International network. Conceived as a full boarding school with world-class facilities in a premier location, the Johor campus will set a new benchmark for quality, innovation and prestige in education, attracting families from Malaysia, Singapore and across the wider region.
The Johor campus - set on a 100-acre estate - will feature an extraordinary range of facilities, including championship-standard sports grounds, polo fields and equestrian amenities, underscoring Wellington’s long-standing tradition of sporting leadership and holistic development. Offering a British curriculum education that combines academic excellence with character formation, it is designed to set a new standard for international schools in Asia, delivering an exceptional all-round education that nurtures intellect, integrity and purpose.
Together, these schools form the cornerstone of Wellington College’s long-term commitment to Southeast Asia - bringing the College’s 165-year heritage of excellence to a new generation of learners. Through its regional presence, WCESG aims to cultivate communities of learning that are academically ambitious, internationally minded and deeply rooted in Wellington’s values of courage, respect, integrity, kindness and responsibility. Each school will reflect both its local context and the unifying spirit of the Wellington family, nurturing globally minded leaders prepared to shape the future with purpose and compassion.
